Things To Do

When we sail into port or stay the day, you can spend your time here as you wish. Exploring local towns, time in nature and on the beach, tasting local specialties, learning about history or trying something more adventurous. Find some ideas below or we'll be happy to give you some advice on board.

Recharge your energy
on a bike tour

It is possible to rent a bike on each island and in the other harbours aswell and go exploring further afield. Especially the islands of Texel and Terschelling are great for this option. For example on Terschelling there are seventy kilometres of bicycle paths.

See the beaches
from a different view

Terschelling is one of the few places in the Netherlands where it is still possible to drive across the sand in a Land Rover or other off-road vehicle and explore the beaches and dunes from a different perspective.

Remarkable history of ports

During our stay in one of the ports, you can learn about Dutch culture and history in one of the local museums.

On Terschelling you can visit?

Museum t´behouden Huys - is located in the heart of West Terschelling. If you want to discover the island's rich history and find out if there is treasure at the bottom of the sea near Terschelling, then this museum is a great choice.

Museum of Wrecks

is for you if you want to find out what has been found in the surrounding waters and what secrets many shipwrecks hide.

Bunker Museum

It may surprise you, but there are more than 500 bunkers on Terschelling. You can visit these impressive bunkers that were built by the Germans during the second World War.

Other great ones to visite: Enkhuizen Zuiderzeemuseum, Texel Ecomare or Museum Kaap Skil, Den Oever Viking Museum Wieringen, Afsluitdijk Wadden Center.

Taste the local delicacies

There are many nice restaurants and cafes in the local harbours where you can feel cosy and taste the local cuisine. The fresh fish specialties are definitely worth a try. Be sure to try kibelling, haaring or smoked paaling at one of the local fish stalls or fish markets.
